Hi, and welcome! I’m Renee, the breeder behind Shaggy Doodles of California, and I’m so excited to finally have a place where I can share a little more about our puppies, our program, and life behind the scenes at Shaggy Doodles.

Raising Australian Labradoodles is so much more than simply having adorable puppies. A tremendous amount of love, planning, health testing, socialization, and care goes into every litter. My goal has always been to raise healthy, happy, well-adjusted puppies and thoughtfully match them with families where they can truly thrive.

I created this blog to share helpful information for current and future puppy families—from choosing the right puppy and preparing for your puppy’s arrival to training, grooming, health, nutrition, and navigating those sometimes challenging puppy stages. I’ll also share updates from our litters, stories about our dogs, and a peek behind the scenes of our breeding program.
